CA Final May exam 2024 for group 1 will be held from May 2, 4, 6 and Foundation exam from June 20.
NEW DELHI: Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will now be conducting the Chartered Accountants (CA) Foundation and Inter exams thrice a year, the central council member (CCM) of ICAI Dhiraj Khandelwal announced.

“Welcoming move by the ICAI to bring a beneficial change in favour of the CA student fraternity by introducing CA examinations thrice a year for CA Foundation and CA Inter level. Further Updates shall be clarified by the ICAI soon,” Dhiraj Khandelwal said.
ICAI has been conducting CA exams 2024 twice a year in May-June and November-December sessions. The registration for the ICAI CA exams remain open throughout the year. The details on conducting the exams thrice will be displayed soon on the official website.
ICAI is a statutory body set up by an Act of Parliament for the regulation of the profession of Chartered Accountancy in the country. It functions under the ministry of corporate affairs and is the second largest CA professional body in the world.
CA courses
The institute has divided the CA courses into three - CA Foundation, CA Intermediate, and CA Final.
The Foundation course in the entry to the CA course for the candidates who have appeared for Class 12 exams. Interested students should register and complete 4 months of theoretical education to be eligible for the exam.
After qualifying the CA Foundation course, candidates will be allowed to apply for the CA Inter exam and complete 8 months of theoretical education. They will also have to complete Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) before the practical training commences.
Students are also required to complete four self-paced online Modules and qualify the online assessment to be considered for Final exam. Only those candidates who clear both groups of CA Final exam will become a member.

ICAI CA May exams 2024
The upcoming CA Final May exam 2024 for group 1 will be held from May 2, 4, 6 and group 2 from May 8, 10, 12. CA Inter exams for group 1 and 2 will be held from May 3 to 13, the International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT – AT) from May 10 and 12, and CA Foundation exam from June 20, 22, 24, 26.
The CA exams 2024 have also been administered in foreign countries. The CA May exams 2024 will be held in eight overseas exam cities, including Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Thimpu, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Kuwait and Muscat.
