The scope of a chartered accountant is vast and includes roles in finance, accounting, and taxation within India and also across the globe. CAs are in demand in different sectors like public and private sector companies, government sectors, and even in establishing their firms. Their professional skills are essential for financial reporting, auditing, taxation, and offering financial advice.
After clearing ICAI CA Foundation course, the candidates proceed to the next level, which is CA Intermediate. The ICAI CA Intermediate course syllabus consists of the following:
Passing marks for CA Final is a minimum of 40 percent aggregate in each individual subject and 50 percent aggregate of all the subjects at one sitting in either both the groups or a single group. The candidates failing to score the minimum percentage are required to appear for the exam in the next cycle.
A number of leading private firms, such as the "Big Four" accounting firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG), employ chartered accountants (CAs). Several multinational corporations (MNCs) as well as large Indian companies from different industries also employ CAs.
Students may go for independent practice or can work in an auditing firm as a chartered accountant or analyst after completing CA Final course. If they work with an auditing firm or a company, then they can apply for full-time jobs. Best job opportunities for certified CAs are finance manager, tax manager, certified public accountant, teacher, civil or government service, etc. They can also opt for other professional courses like MBA/PGDM to pursue a career in corporate finance.
CA Final exam is the course-level examination that is carried out for testing the trainee and the competence of the candidate in chartered accountancy. CA Final is the third and final course level of Chartered Accountancy. It is organized by the ICAI. The same organization regulates the profession of CA in India. In order to achieve CA Final level, candidates are required to clear CA Foundation and CA Intermediate levels.
