NEW DELHI, November 14, 2019- The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will now conduct the postponed exams of Chartered Accountancy on November 19 and November 20, 2019. The CA Foundation Paper 1 and CA Final Paper 5 will be held on November 19 (earlier was scheduled to be held on November 9) and the Paper 5 of CA IPCC and Intermediate will be conducted on November 20, which was previously scheduled to be conducted on November 11, 2019. The exam will be conducted at the same exam centres and usual exam timings, i.e. 2-5 pm.
ICAI has made it clear that all other CA exams will be conducted as per previous schedule only and only these two dates whose scheduled exams were postponed will have a change.
The exams that were postponed were as follows:
CA Foundation Paper 1- Principles and Practices of Accounting
CA Final Paper 5 of Group 2 (Old Syllabus)- Advanced Management Accounting
CA Final Paper 5 of Group 2 (New Syllabus)- Strategic Cost Management and Performance Evaluation
CA IPCC Paper 5 of Group 2- Advanced Accounting
CA Intermediate Paper 5 of Group 2- Advanced Accounting
It may be noted that the ICAI exams were postponed due to closure of various schools and colleges across the nation. The reason behind this closure were precautious orders by concerned governments attributed to pronouncement of Ayodhya verdict by the hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
