KOLKATA: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. The main objective of the MoU is facilitating a comprehensive partnership with IIM Calcutta for the benefit of CS aspirants.
CS Nagendra D Rao, President of ICSI addressed the press conference and said, “The objective of the MoU is to facilitate a comprehensive partnership for imparting knowledge and skills in the areas of Joint Academic Research, Joint Workshops, Professional Development Programme for Company Secretaries, sharing resources and International Conferences besides rewarding the toppers of programmes of IIM Calcutta with ICSI Signature Award Gold Medal and a scholarship to pursue the Company Secretary Course.”
Rao also talked about various initiatives taken by the institute for the growth and development of its members, students and the profession. He talked about initiatives such as extensive career counselling, professional development programmes, brand building, extensive research, re-organisation and infrastructure development, ICSI vision 2022 and globalisation of the profession.
The President of ICSI also mentioned some social initiatives taken up by the ICSI such as Shaheed Ki Beti Certificate, contribution to PM Care Fund, Blood Bank Portal and ICSI Students Education Fund Trust.
