ICSSR calls for proposals for research projects under major and minor schemes 2024-25

NEW DELHI: The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), has invited project proposals from Indian social scientists, academicians, and researchers in humanities under its scheme of major and minor research projects 2024-25. Interested students can submit their online applications through the ICSSR official portal at app.icssr.org. The application for the project proposal has commenced from today, October 4.

The last date for online application submission is October 24. The last date for submission of a hard copy of the application form in ICSSR is October 31.

Proposals for Research Projects 2024-25

The main objectives of the proposals for research projects (major and minor) 2024-25 are as follows:

  • To encourage young, mid-career as well as senior social scientists to do research in diverse sectors identified by the ICSSR in the overall framework of Viksit Bharat 2047.

  • To support research in social and human sciences having the potential to contribute to the national development and attainment of sustainable development goals (SDGs) by providing evidence-based insights and practical solutions to current and future challenges in various fields.

  • To support research having potential to develop new theoretical and methodological approaches to research in social and human sciences.

  • To promote multi-disciplinary, inter-disciplinary, and trans-disciplinary approaches across diverse domains in social and human sciences.
