IGNOU Admission 2022: IGNOU invites applications for post basic BSc nursing programme
IGNOU admission to BSc nursing programme requires the candidates to write an entrance exam which will be conducted on May 8, 2022.

NEW DELHI: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has invited applications for its post basic BSc Nursing programme for the academic year of January 2022. The entrance test for getting admissions to the IGNOU BSc nursing course will be held across the country on Sunday, May 8, 2022. Candidates can submit the online applications at the official website of IGNOU at ignou.ac.in. The last date to submit the application for the IGNOU admission for post-basic BSc nursing is April 17.
The IGNOU entrance examination for BSc nursing will be held on May 8, 2022, for a duration of 2:30 hours. Reservation is applicable as per the government rules, said a statement from IGNOU.

IGNOU Admission 2022: Eligibility criteria for BSc nursing
Candidates who fulfil the following criteria are eligible to apply for the IGNOU BSc nursing programme.
- In-service, registered nurses and registered midwife (RNRM) having 10+2 with three years.
- Candidates with a diploma in general nursing and midwifery (GNM) with a minimum two years experience in the profession.
or
- In-service nurses (RNRM) with Class 10 or equivalent qualification with three years diploma in general nursing and midwifery (GNM) with a minimum of five years experience in the profession after RNRM.
Male nurses without midwifery in the GNM programme should have a certificate in any one of the nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery.

IGNOU has not provided any age limit for admission into the BSc nursing programme. Candidates are required to pay an examination fee of Rs 1000 while registering for the entrance exam.
