IGNOU January Admission 2026: Candidates will have to pay a late fee of Rs 200 to register for the ODL and online programmes.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for re-registration for the January 2026 session with a late fee. Candidates seeking admission to programmes offered through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online modes can now submit their IGNOU re-registration forms till March 15, 2026.
Eligible candidates can register for the IGNOU January 2026 session through the official website, ignou.ac.in. Candidates have to pay a late fee of Rs 200 for IGNOU re-registration to apply for ODL and online programmes.
The IGNOU re-registration portal is open for Indian and international students. Earlier, the IGNOU January 2026 registration deadline was January 31, 2026, and it was later extended to February 15.
The IGNOU January 2026 re-registration extension is for all notified programmes, except semester-based and certificate courses.
Candidates registering for the IGNOU January 2026 ODL programme have to upload a scanned photograph, signature, and scanned copies of their educational qualification, experience certificate, and category certificate (if applicable for SC, ST, or OBC candidates).
