IGNOU July 2024 ODL Admission: Registration last date extended to July 31

NEW DELHI: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended registration last date for the July 2024 admission cycle for online distance learning (ODL) programmes. Interested candidates will have to submit the IGNOU application form 2024 through the official website, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in, before July 31.

“Eligible students can apply for Government of India Scholarships on the National Scholarship Portal at https://scholarships.gov.in/ after confirmation of admission,” the university said.

Applicants will have to pay a non-refundable registration fee. The fee paid, however, will be refunded prior to confirmation of admission. “An amount equivalent to 15% of the programme fee, subject to a ceiling of Rs 2,000, will be deducted from the fee paid in case the request for cancellation is received after the confirmation of admission,” the open university said.

First-time applicants have been advised to check the available programmes on the homepage and select the desired course. They were also instructed to check the eligibility criteria, fee details, course details before applying for admission.

Before filling the application form, candidates should ensure that “user name” is between 8 to 16 characters. Candidates have to proceed to fill personal and academic details after registration. The scanned copy of the following documents have to be uploaded while registering for admission.

  • Photograph with file size less than 100 KB.
  • Signature with file size less than 100 KB.
  • Relevant educational qualification with file size less than 200 KB.
  • Experience certificate, if any, with file size less than 200 KB.
  • Category certificate, if applicants belong to SC, ST, OBC. The file size should be less than 200 KB.
