The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for submitting the online re-registration form for the July 2026 academic session. Students can now complete the re-registration process till August 16, 2026, at onlinerr.ignou.ac.in. The extended deadline is applicable to all programmes offered in open and distance learning (ODL) and online mode.

Students who have not yet completed the IGNOU 2026 re-registration process can submit their applications through the official online re-registration portal before the revised deadline. The university has advised learners to complete the process well in advance to avoid last-minute technical issues.

How to complete IGNOU July 2026 re-registration

Re-registration is mandatory for existing IGNOU students who wish to continue their studies in the next semester or academic year. Candidates are required to log in to the online portal using their enrolment credentials and complete the process by paying the prescribed programme fee, wherever applicable. The below steps will guide candidates to complete the IGNOU re-registration .

  • Visit the official IGNOU online re-registration portal, onlinerr.ignou.ac.in
  • Log in using your enrolment number and password
  • Select the programme and courses for the next semester or year
  • Verify the details entered in the application form
  • Pay the applicable re-registration fee online
  • Submit the form and download the confirmation page for future reference.

IGNOU has advised students who are unable to register due to OTP issues, forgotten usernames or passwords, or other technical problems to contact their regional centre for account reset or updating their registered contact details.
