IGNOU extends July 2026 re-registration deadline to July 15 for ODL, online programmes.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for online re-registration for the July 2026 academic session to July 15, 2026. Students enrolled in various undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and certificate programmes must complete their re-registration process through the official website, ignou.ac.in.
The latest notification states that the extension is applicable to all programmes offered in both Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online modes. The extention provide students with additional time to complete the admission formalities.

IGNOU prospectus reads that the re-registration is mandatory for existing students who wish to continue to the next semester or academic year. They are advised to complete the process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
Candidates must download and save the confirmation page for future reference.
Candidates must know that the extended deadline is valid only for re-registration for the July 2026 session and covers all eligible programmes offered in ODL and Online modes.
