IIIT Delhi: The move surpasses the UGC and DST standards designed for research culture to ensure scholars have financial security.

NEW DELHI: The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi has taken steps to imporve research culture by raising the PhD fellowships from Rs 37,000 to Rs 60,000 per month. The move surpasses the University Grants Commission (UGC) and department of science and technology standards designed for research cultures and ensure scholars have financial security to dedicate themselves to research.
“IIIT Delhi is committed to creating a research ecosystem that nurtures curiosity, promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, and encourages global engagement,” the IIIT Delhi statement said.
IIIT Delhi invites research aspirants to join PhD programme and contribute to the future of technology.
Ranjan Bose the director of IIIT Delhi says: “The increased PhD fellowship aligns with the vision of advancing research excellence by attracting the best students in the country, fostering high-quality, impactful research, and empowering our students to make meaningful contributions to global scientific progress.”
