IIIT-Hyderabad & MCEME to fulfill engineering requirements of Army

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad has got into an agreement with Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) to develop technology and fulfill engineering requirements of the army.

The collaboration will seek to promote mutual intellectual growth and joint research of indigenous technological solutions to enhance academic and intellectual interaction between the two institutions through guest lectures, seminars, workshops and conferences.

IIIT-Hyderabad’s research centers will assist in technology and engineering requirements of the army affecting combat-related issues and equipment. Faculty will also guide MCEME’s student officers pursuing M.Tech courses.

Speaking on this academic partnership, Vasudeva Varma, Dean, Research, IIIT-Hyderabad said, “This is a valuable opportunity for IIIT-Hyderabad to apply its research for the defense of our country. We’re proud to be associated with MCEME”.

Brigadier AS Katoch, Dean FEL, MCEME Secunderabad added, “It’s indeed a momentous occasion for the college to get associated with IIIT-Hyderabad and benefit from the expertise, experience and research work of its renowned academia.”
