IIM Ahmedabad incubator, Bajaj Electricals Limited to launch new incubation centre

IIM Ahmedabad’s CIIE.CO has joined hands with Bajaj Electricals Limited to launch new incubation centre - Anant Bajaj Limitless Ideas Hub.
NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad’s start-up incubator, CIIE.CO has partnered with Bajaj Electricals Limited to launch an incubation centre - Anant Bajaj Limitless Ideas Hub. The hub is located in Jaipur and will offer interventions like mentoring, seed funding and other incubation needs of start-ups.
The hub aims to help women entrepreneurs, innovative start-ups, craft and sustainable fashion businesses, solopreneurs and early-stage tech start-ups.
Over the next five years, the incubation centre aims to support around 6,000 Indian entrepreneurs through capacity building and acceleration programmes.

Chintan Bakshi, partner, incubation at CIIE.CO said that tier-two cities like Jaipur are the emerging hubs in the entrepreneurial roadmap in the country, and emergence of India’s unicorns and soon to be unicorns coming from this city is a testimony to this.
Shekhar Bajaj, chairman and managing director of Bajaj Electricals Limited said: “I hope that the ‘Anant Bajaj Limitless Ideas Hub’ will inspire many individuals to pursue their passion and give them a platform to turn their ideas into reality. This will be a befitting honour to his memory and legacy.”

“Through the collaboration of industry and academia, I firmly believe that we can foster the growth of entrepreneurship in the country on a larger scale,” he added.
The institute is also planning to build a prototyping lab at the new incubation centre for early state technology hardware start-ups, in collaboration with other organisations and institutions, the IIM Ahmedabad statement added.
