IIM Ahmedabad Summer Placements 2022: Adani Group top recruiter with 16 offers

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad began their summer internship recruitment process in three clusters for the 2022-23 postgraduate programme in management (PGP) on November 1, 2022.

Cluster 2 of Summer Placement process was held on November 5, 2022. The programme was conducted in a cohort-system where firms are divided into different groups based on their domains. Cluster 2 consisted of seven cohorts including advertising and media, consumer electronics, consumer goods and durables, consumer services, conglomerates, retail B2B- B2C and pharma and health care.

A large pool of 50 firms participated in the IIMA Summer Placements 2022 out of which Adani Group was the top recruiter with 16 offers. The conglomerate cohort saw participation of recruiters including ABG, Adani, Bajaj, CK Birla, JSW Group, Piramal, Reliance and TAS. In the consumer goods and durables group HUL was the top recruiter with 9 offers apart from firms like AB InBev, Asian Paints, Coca-Cola, Dabur, HUL, ITC, Kimberly Clark, Mondelez, Nestle, P&G, Reckitt, and Wipro Consumer Care that were also part of the group.

Retail B2B- B2C domain saw participation form Amazon and Flipkart, out of which Amazon made 13 offers. The advertising and media group had participation from media-giant Disney. In the pharma and health care cohort, firms like Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Optum Global Solutions and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. amongst others participated. Optum and Sun Pharma were the top recruiters, each with 10 offers.

Boston Consulting Group was the top recruiter with 28 offers in cluster 1 on November 1, 2022. According to official schedule, cluster 3 of IIMA Summer Placements 2022 will be held on November 7, 2022. The Institute might follow a rolling process after conducting cluster 3 recruitments, if required.
