IIM Bangalore celebrates Vista 2020; Chief Guest Dr Kiran Bedi inaugurates the program

NEW DEL HI - IIM Bangalore's Annual Business celebrated Vista 2020 with the theme "Portraits of Progress", which focuses on capturing the evolving nature of businesses. It was a 2-day immersive online experience with an amalgamation of competitions, events, workshops, and activities that encompasses all the focus areas imaginable within the domain of business and management.
The Chief Guests
Chief guest Dr Kiran Bedi, Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry. Prof. Abhoy K Ojha, Dean Programmes IIMB, and Prof. Padmini Srinivasan, PGP Chair, IIMB inaugurated Vista 2020. Dr Kiran Bedi spoke about the her views on experiments in True Governance and gave valuable insights into the 5 pillars of True Governance; Invite, Involve, Resolve, Solve, and Evolve.
A Talk on COVID-19 Vaccine
A speaker session was done by Dr Viral Acharya, Professor, NYU Stern, and the former Deputy Governor of the RBI. The session was moderated by Vinay Tewari, Managing Editor, Mirror Now. Dr Acharya discussed the impact of COVID-19 on the global economy, and how interlinked economies of different countries are coping with the pandemic. He also spoke about the availability of the COVID vaccine in India and how governments must treat vaccination as a global public good. Dr Acharya mentioned that universal health care should be accessible to everyone and that a tax transfer from the rich to poor can help in financing the same. The night ended with a vote of thanks by the Organizers of Vista 2020. A number of events ranging from speaker sessions to Vista nights are lined up for the next two days.
