IIM Bangalore to co-host India software product management summit

IIMB will co-host the SPM summit 2022 with ISPMA on January 21,22
NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore’s Centre for Software and Information Technology Management (CSITM) is set to co-host the fourth India Software Product Management Summit, which brings together academics, industry leaders and professionals in the software sector, on January 21 and 22. The theme for the SPM summit 2022 is “building safe, secure and smart digital products and platforms. The event will be held in online mode.
The IIM Bangalore centre has been co-hosting the summit since 2019 with the International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA), a non-profit association of software companies, research institutes and experts. The event includes lectures, workshops, discussions, academic papers, presentations on software product management, industry best practices and success stories.

“The SPM Summit 2022 will be a great learning event with outstanding speakers, panels and workshops,” said Rishikesha T. Krishnan, director of IIM Bangalore.
“Instances like our country vaccinating billions in a year with the help of an app that enables vaccination planning and certificate distribution proves the significance of software for the Indian economy,” said S Sadagopan, chairman of ISPMA India.

Haragopal Mangipudi, global board member of ISPMA and faculty at IIMB, said: “India, the powerhouse of technology talent, is strengthening consumption and creation of digital products. The SPM summit will bring together the best minds from industry and academia to boost this journey.”
