NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 21: The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) will co-host the Software Product Management Summit, along with the International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA), on February 14 and 15, 2019.
Professor Rahul De, Chair, Centre for Software and IT Management at IIM Bangalore, said: “Of late, Indian IT firms and start-ups are focusing strongly on developing software products, both for Indian as well as international markets. Having a leading industry association hold a summit in Bangalore will go a long way in enhancing these efforts.”
The global Software Product Management Summit is a forum for experts from the industry and academia to exchange insights and best practices. India’s growth as a start-up nation and as the powerhouse for some of the top-notch software products in the world are the reasons why ISPMA chose the country as the venue for the SPM summit.
Haragopal Mangipudi, ISPMA Board Member and Distinguished Alumnus from IIM Bangalore, said, “In the age of digital competition, every business is a software business. Software products and platforms are the key value drivers in the digital era. ISPMA is excited to host this leadership summit in partnership with IIMB to promote and celebrate excellence in software product management in India.”
Excellence Awards
One of the highlights of the India SPM summit is the celebration of excellence in software product management. The SPM Excellence Awards are instituted to celebrate excellence in the software management practices and showcase the best practices and role models.
The parameters for evaluation are: business performance, innovation, and maturity of Software Product Management practices. The awards ceremony at the ISPMA-IIMB Software Product Management Summit (India) will be held on February 15 (Friday), 2019.
Nomination forms will be available for download by November 20, 2018; nomination submission closes on December 05, 2018, and announcement of finalists will be made on January 15, 2019.
