IIM Bangalore, ISPMA host Software Product Management Summit
IIMB SPM Summit 2022: The SPM best papers and excellence awards were announced

NEW DELHI: The Software Product Management (SPM) summit, co-hosted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore and held on January 21 and 22 saw the distribution of best paper awards and the SPM excellence awards. The SPM Summit India 2022 was co-hosted by IIM Bangalore’s Centre for Software and IT Management (CSITM) and the International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA).
During the summit , CN Ashwath Narayan, Karnataka minister of science and technology, spoke on the digital transformation in India and assured support to those making efforts for closing the digital divide in the country. Debjani Ghosh, president of NASSCOM, highlighted the necessity of responsible and inclusive technology.

IIM Bangalore SPM Summit 2022
According to a statement from IIM Bangalore, the best industry paper was Developer Experience for Software Platforms by Monojit Basu. The best research paper award was won by Bhawna Parewa and Priya Gupta for their paper, A Systematic Review and Bibliometric Analysis of Blockchain Application in Consumer Service. The best projects in the IIMB student showcase were Avalara Inc. Taxation and Compliance and Videoken: Digital Product Analysis.
“The SPM excellence awards were presented to AppSentinels API Security platform from Appsentinels, Talent intelligence platform from Eightfold AI, Quickbooks Desktop from Intuit Quickbooks, and Finacle Virtual Banking from Infosys Edgeverve. Apart from this, Vuram Technologies won a special jury award for outstanding SPM practice”, said the statement.

“About three pre-conference workshops were held on January 20 with participation from over 70 individuals. All the sessions and the workshops conducted by Haragopal Mangipudi, Muthu Ranganathan, Abhijit Bendigiri and Tathagat Varma were interactive and informative. The SPM summit 2022 included many presentations, panel discussions and fireside chats with industry leaders”, it said.
