NEW DELHI, AUGUST 24: IIM Bodh Gaya conducted an entrepreneurship challenge for its students to celebrate the World Entrepreneur’s day on August 21. The team consisting of IIM Bodh Gaya students Abhishek, Manash and Darpan won the competition, titled Cleardekho Entrepreneurship Challenge 2019.
The challenge was part of a two-day event and the participating students were required to split into teams of three and present a business model. The top three teams were then evaluated by judges to declare the winner.
Inaugurating the event, IIM Bodh Gaya Director Dr. Vinita Sahay urged students to be job creators and spoke on the various opportunities that are open for potential entrepreneurs.
The event had guest lectures from two successful entrepreneurs Saurabh Dayal, Co-founder, Cleardekho.com, and Praveen Chauhan, social entrepreneur. The two entrepreneurs shared with the students their experiences in building a successful start-up and the difficulties that they faced along the way.
Praveen Chauhan also talked about his popular venture, MART, which collects and recycles tons of flower waste from Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya to make dye.
The World Entrepreneurs’ Day is celebrated every year to create awareness for entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership throughout the world.
