A student who have appeared in Kendriya Vidyalaya centre yesterday, told Careers360:

"Hi, just saw your post about today's CUET paper being a disaster. I was in the Kendriya Vidhalaya No1 centre too and the made us fill OMR details and booklet details just 5 minutes prior to exam even though we had been sitting in the classroom for an hour before the exam had begun. 

The invigilators also had some paper that we again had to fill up and they made us do this between the exam. The paper pattern was also suddenly changed and we had to do 4 rc passages along with other questions in just 45 min (but we probably got close to 30 mins because of their mismanagement). They didn't even consider changing the time duration of the examination taking into consideration that omr sheets take time to fill up."

NTA has conducted the CUET exam 2024 on May 16, with more than 75% attendance overall.

The difficulty level of biology and chemistry papers of CUET 2024 held today is given below.

Candidates alleged that they were given 30 minutes to write the CUET UG English paper instead of 45 and could not complete the exam on time.

Students who appeared for CUET UG English paper today complained of less time, mismanagement, and chaos at the examination centres.

Candidates will be awarded four marks for each correct answer while one mark will be deducted for every incorrect response.

CUET UG 2024 exams scheduled till May 18 will be held in pen and paper mode. Whereas, the exams from May 21 to 24 will be held in computer-based test (CBT) mode.

As per toprankers, the CUET 2024 exam analysis for May 15 shift 1  biology paper is as follows:

• Overall, the biology paper was on moderate side. 40-45% questions were easy and 15% questions were a bit difficult wherein options of questions were tricky and students took time to analyse them.
• The weightage of concept-based and application-based questions was high as compared to previous year
• There were more statement-based questions this time with application-based concept
• Reproductive health was given high weightage this time.
• The weightage of evolution this time was highly decreased
• The question paper had less questions from deleted chapters
• The biotechnology unit was given less weightage this year
• There was a sudden hike in number of questions from ecology and environment

• Reproduction, inheritance, human health and diseases are some units where students found questions difficult as compared to previous years

Candidates appearing for the exam must be aware of the CUET 2024 marking scheme, which is as follows:

• For every correct response: +5 marks
• For every incorrect response: -1 mark
• For unattempted questions: 0 mark
