IIM Indore successfully conducted CAT 2020 on November 29 in computer based mode. IIMs will soon release their respective cutoff. The IIM cutoffs are different for different categories of students. The minimum CAT cutoff percentile is between 90-100 for general category students while for reserved categories, the CAT cutoff by IIMs is slightly on the lower side, that is, between 85-98 depending on the institute. CAT 2020 Result - How ranks are allotted

IIM Indore will also release the rank details along with CAT 2020 result. There will be a separate All India ranking list and a category wise IIM CAT rank list. The big question is how this ranking is allotted in the CAT 2020 exam, assuming that many 100 percentiles will be in the CAT 2020 exam.

An IIM CAT score of 100 percentile is given to students who have scored the highest in their exam shift - Morning, Afternoon, and Evening. So these students are allotted CAT 2020 ranks (All India ranks) on the basis of the inter-merit guidelines given by IIM.

To avoid any discrimination, the Indian Institute of Management has followed the normalization process for CAT 2020, which has changed the scale differences of the score distributions in different forms.
