IIM Kashipur to organise Management Education and Research Colloquium for doctoral students
Doctoral scholars, professionals and authors can submit their research papers at iimkashipur.ac.in/merc2024 till April 8.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur will organise a three-day Management Education and Research colloquium (MERC) 2024 for doctoral scholars. The third edition of MERC will be held between May 31 and June 2. Doctoral scholars, professionals and authors can send their papers to exhibit their research work on the official website, iimkashipur.ac.in/merc2024.
The IIM Kashipur said the MERC will open an avenue for doctoral students to present and discuss their research work and gain valuable insights from peers and leading academicians in the realms of management. Researchers interested to apply can submit their papers before April 8. Three best submissions will be awarded cash prizes of Rs 25,000, 15,000 and 10,000 respectively based on the criteria laid out by the panel of experts.
Themes for paper
The scholars can submit papers on themes communications, economics, IT and systems, marketing, operations and decision sciences, organisational behaviour and human resource management, public policy and governance, strategy and entrepreneurship, stability in MSME and finance and accounting. However, the papers are not limited to the above-mentioned themes.
MERC 2024 will provide an opportunity for doctoral scholars to interact, collaborate, and network with like-minded researchers and practitioners from varied domains. The participants will also gain valuable feedback, engage in discussions, and receive mentorship from experts regarding their research.
In addition to paper presentations, MERC 2024 also featured workshops on research methodologies to help participants improve their methodological rigour.

In 2023 edition of MERC, IIM Kashipur received 175 submissions from all over India. Out of these, more than 50 submissions were received from premier institutions such as IIMs, IITs, NITs, XLRI and others. These submissions in diverse areas of management were going through a review process for final selection and registration in MERC.
