NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management Mumbai will use the Common Admission Test (CAT 2023) score for granting admission to three MBA programmes offered.
On August 8, both houses of the Parliament - Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha - passed the Indian Institute of Management (Amendment) Bill 2023 by replacing the six-year old IIM Act of 2017. The National Institute of Industrial Engineering, or NITIE, has been included in the IIM amendment Act 2023 as 21st IIM and renamed as the IIM Mumbai.
The Bill was introduced by the Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan seeking to limit the autonomy of the IIMs by appointing the President of India as visitor of IIMs.
In this regard, IIM Mumbai will grant admission to its three MBA programmes - Master of Business Administration (MBA), MBA in Operations and Supply Chain Management, and MBA in Sustainability Management - through CAT 2023 score.
