BCU senior lecturer Sara Gracy addressed the integration of the humanities with innovation management.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur and Birmingham City University (BCU) together organised a special lecture at IIM Raipur on May 27. The lecture was delivered by Sara Gracy, senior lecturer in leadership and Human Resource Management (HRM) at BCU. This lecture is part of the Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) elective course "Bringing humanities and innovation management and creative entrepreneurial leadership" in management.
This EPGP management elective course from IIT Raipur and Birmingham city university aims to bridge the gap between traditional management education and the creative human-centric approach needed to lead in the modern, innovation-driven business environment. It is designed to equip participants with the skills necessary to navigate the complexities of international management while fostering an environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
This course is the result of a joint research grant funded by the British council of India for both institutions. This initiative reflects the commitment of both BCU and IIM Raipur to create a work-ready workforce, reduce on-the-job training costs, and make learners more employable, the IIT Raipur experts stated.
The participants of this lecture interacted with Sara Gracy and BCU professors Shishak and Navjot Sandhu, gaining insights into the practical application of innovative leadership principles in the creative and cultural industries.
Sara Gracy, renowned for her expertise in supervisory leadership and its influence on workplace behaviours, addressed the integration of the humanities with innovation management to cultivate creative entrepreneurial leaders. Her lecture explored the dynamic relationship between leadership and organisational behaviour, highlighting the importance of diversity, equality, and inclusion in the public sector.
