NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur has partnered with Xavier School of Management (XLRI) to launch a first-of-its-kind programme ‘Strategy and Leadership Lessons from Nature’. The last date for submission and acceptance of nominations of the participants is June 10, 2025.

Scheduled from November 7-10, 2025, at the Tadoba Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra, the programme aims to help C-suite executives and senior leaders develop strategies for sustainable business growth, inspired by insights from nature.

“Leveraging nature’s four-billion-year legacy of innovation, resilience, and adaptability, this program will take participants on a first-of-its-kind learning journey through a blend of classroom learning, guided safaris, reflective exercises, and leadership discussions led by renowned academicians, strategy experts, and wildlife specialists,” the institute said in a statement.

The programme tailored for C-suite offers experience of biomimicry, circular economy, adaptability, and sustainability, providing actionable strategies inspired by nature’s intelligence. Through the ‘FINER’ framework (Flexible, Intuitive, Non-linear, Excitable, and Responsible), leaders will learn how to apply these attributes in entrepreneurship environments.

IIM Raipur course curriculum

The course curriculum covers competencies such as wisdom, innovation, leadership, diversity, endurance, resourcefulness, nurturing, equilibrium, stealth, and synergy, required for modern executives. In addition, participants will reflect on the 'LEG' (Laziness, Ego, Greed) framework, acknowledging how these traits, if unbalanced, can either drive excellence or disrupt ecosystems and organizations.

Announcing this initiative, Ram Kumar Kakani, director, IIM Raipur shared, “Nature has always been the best strategist, innovator, and aesthetic leader. This program will help C-suits to step away from boardrooms and gain fresh perspectives. This initiative challenges conventional leadership illustrations by building a synergy between nature and business. We are all keen to integrate ecological intelligence with strategic decision making to foster sustainability and growth.”
