IIM Sambalpur partners with IG Drones to set up drone centre of excellence
The drone centre of excellence will act as a hub for drone-related research, innovation, and entrepreneurship at IIM Sambalpur, Delhi campus.

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur has signed an agreement with IG Drones, Odisha-based drone tech company for collaborative work in advanced applications of drone technology in business analytics, management strategies, and public Policy.
The agreement was finalised during the 100-Cube Start-up Conclave at IIM Sambalpur, which was supported by the Ministry of Education. Dharmendra Pradhan, the Minister of Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, attended the event.
Drone centre of excellence at IIM Sambalpur
According to the agreement, IG Drones will set up a drone centre of excellence at IIM Sambalpur's Delhi campus. This centre will act as a hub for drone-related research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The collaboration will emphasise on the advanced uses of drone technology in business analytics, management strategies, and public Policy.
Mahadeo Jaiswal, director IIM Sambalpur, said, “We are glad to sign an MOU and partner with the leading drone technology company, IG Drones, for advanced applications of drone technology in business analytics, management strategies, and public policy governance.It has been at the forefront of taking steps to become one of the leading IIMs in India.

IG Drones’ collaboration with state governments
Additionally, IG Drones has created over 15 centres of excellence across India, with an aim to develop 1,000 more to empower India's young with innovative drone technology. To provide a full spectrum of drone-related services, the firm has strategically collaborated with various state governments, over 100 Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), and prominent Multinational Corporations (MNCs).
