IIMC 2019 Entrance Exam Commences: know the key points to follow in the exam

NEW DELHI, MAY 25 - Indian Institute of Mass Communication is conducting IIMC 2019 entrance exam in offline mode on May 25 and 26 . The exam duration is of two hours and is being conducted from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m on both the days for some of the courses. Only those candidates who carried their admit card along with the photo ID proof were allowed to take the test. No students were allowed to carry any baggage with them inside the exam centre.

IIMC 2019 entrance exam is being conducted for different post graduate diploma programmes in various languages. On 25 May, 2019, the exam is conducted for Odiya Journalism at Dhenkanal centre , Marathi Journalism at Amravati, Aurangabad and Pune centres, Malyalam Journalism at Calicut and Kottayam centres and Urdu Journalism at Bhopal, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jammu, Lucknow, Patna, Srinagar, centres.

Candidates, who will sit for the exam on May 26, will be appearing for Hindi and English Journalism, Radio & TV Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations – 26.5.2019 (3 pm to 5 pm). The exam for Radio and TV Journalism will start from 12 to 2 p.m. while Advertising and Public Relations will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Instructions to be followed at IIMC Exam Centre 2019

  1. Candidates are asked to leave their belongings outside the examination hall. Also, mobile phones are not allowed inside the examination room.

  2. Candidate coming late 15 minutes after the commencement of the examination are not allowed to enter the exam centre. They are also not supposed to leave the exam hall within 60 minutes after the commencement of the exam.

  3. Candidates are not allowed to talk with each other in the middle of the exam

  4. Candidates should not exchange any article in the hall without seeking permission from the invigilators.

  5. Candidates should not tear or remove any sheet from the answer book.

  6. Test takers have to write their roll numbers and they should not write their names anywhere in the answer book.

  7. On completion of the exam and when students are asked to stop writing, they have to deposit their answer books to the invigilator on duty. No candidate should take the answer book out of the examination hall.


Candidates breaching any of these instruction will lead to disqualification.
