Download EBookIndian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata (IISER Kolkata) will offer admission based on the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT 2025) merit list. The IISER IAT results 2025 have been declared for admission to an integrated dual degree programme that combines a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Master of Science (MS) at IISERs.
A 5-year BS-MS is offered at all IISER campuses. This academic year 2025-26, IISER Kolkata will be offering a new 5-year BS-MS dual degree programme in computational and data sciences. To be eligible for admission to BS-MS dual degree in computational and data science, candidates must have studied mathematics as a subject in Class 12.
The Government of India established the IISERs at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati with an objective to integrate and promote interdisciplinary science education and research. All admissions in these campuses are done only through the IISER IAT .
The tentative total number of seats available for the BS-MS, BS, BTech courses is 2,363. Of which, IISER Kolkata has been allotted 280 seats.
As per the fee structure for IISER Kolkata, general, OBC-NCL, EWS candidates enrolling in BS-MS programmes will have to pay Rs 67,551, and SC, ST, PwD students will have to pay Rs 18,650 as fees for new admissions.
IISER Kolkata cut-off 2025
A total of seven rounds were held last year for admission to BS-MS in IISERs. Admission to the Kolkata campuses was concluded at round 5. Check last year’s closing ranks for various categories at IISER Kolkata.
