Try NowNEW DELHI : The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay will close the MTech admissions 2025 registration window with late fee payment on April 16. Eligible students having qualifying Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores can apply for admissions through the official website, iitb.ac.in
Candidates will also have to register on the Common Offer Admission Portal (COAP) online. Candidates will be allotted seats based on GATE scores. IIT Bombay closed the registration window without the late fee payment on April 11.
As per the IIT Bombay admission brochure 2025-26, the application fee for an extended period for women and SC, ST, PwD category candidates is Rs 650, and for other category candidates is Rs 800. Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form.
Candidates having valid GATE scores can apply for admission to MTech courses. However, apart from having a GATE score, admissions to a few courses will be based on separate written tests or personal interviews.

IIT Bombay MTech Admission 2025: Eligibility criteria
The eligibility criteria for admission to IIT Bombay MTech courses are as follows.
- Candidates should have a BTech or its equivalent degree from any recognized institute.
- Candidates should have secured 60% marks in aggregate in their qualifying degree, and reserved category candidates should have 55%.
- Candidates appearing in the final year of their qualifying degree are eligible to apply.
- Candidates having qualified for the exam of associate members of the following institutes are also eligible to appear: Institute of Chemical Engineers, Institution of Engineers, Aeronautical Society of India, Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers, and Indian Institutes of Metals.

The admission process for the IIT Bombay MTech courses is as follows.
- Fill out the online application form for IIT Bombay MTech 2025 admission
- Register on the COAP portal.
- Check allotment status as per the COAP seat allotment schedule
- Login to the IIT Bombay candidate portal for the admission status, schedule of written test and or interview round.
- Complete the required admission process as per instructions from the IIT Bombay portal.
