IIT Bombay will exhibit eight critical R&D projects at at mega-IIT showcase, IInventiv 2022 at IIT Delhi.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi will be hosting IInvenTiv 2022, a platform for all 23 IITs across India to showcase their resource and development projects. IIT Bombay will be showcasing eight critical industry-ready technologies. The mega event will take place from October 14 to 15, 2022 and education minister, Dharmendra Pradhan will be attending the inaugural session.
IInvenTiv is an event that aims to create awareness about the research and innovation spearheaded by the IITs and look for collaborations among the state institutes, IITs, universities and the industry for development. The event commemorates Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a government initiative to celebrate 75 years of independence and the history Indians, their culture and achievements.
All 23 IITs will be showcasing 75 projects with six showcase projects on diverse themes. Among these, IIT Bombay will demonstrate eight of its projects and also lead one of the six main showcases. IIT Kanpur currently holds the largest number of approved showcases at IInvenTiv 2022.

The Bahubhaashak project by IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Hyderabad and Centre of Development of Advances Computing (CDAC) is one of the six showcase projects at the event. This project provides speech-to-speech translation of more than 40,000 videos on swayam central AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and national programme on technology enhanced learning (NPTEL). The Bahubhaashak project aims to enable easy learning of local languages, an attempt to fulfill one of the agendas from the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Apart from this, IIT Bombay has projects including Matsya 5.0, a low-cost autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) device for safe navigation in underwater arenas and Dhruva, a global navigation receiver chip for large-scale deployment in commercial applications and other navigation applications. The Institute will also be presenting their projects in the healthcare domain among others.

The two-day event will bring faculties, IITS and other industry representatives and administrators together on one platform to showcase India's global resource and development facilities.
