Download NowNEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with R Systems International Limited to establish a new research chair in Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) for sustainable systems.

The chair, which will support ongoing research and encourage long-term collaboration between industry and academia, has been funded from R Systems’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), an official statement said.
IIT Delhi AI chair: Innovation, collaboration
Prof Hariprasad Kodamana from the department of chemical engineering at IIT Delhi has been appointed to the newly created chair position.
Professor Preeti Ranjan Panda, dean of corporate relations at IIT Delhi, said, “This endeavour presents a significant opportunity to advance research and development in applied AI and sustainability. It leverages the existing knowledge base at the institute while fostering academic excellence and innovation that can positively impact the broader engineering community.”

Nitesh Bansal, CEO of R Systems, said, “Our collaboration with IIT Delhi reflects our belief in the transformative potential of Applied AI in building sustainable systems.
