NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi collaborates with IndiGo, a part of InterGlobe Aviation Limited to develop innovative solutions for the airline industry. The partnership aims to focus on research to improve customer experiences and optimising operational efficiency.

The partnership will offer IndiGo customers personalised recommendations for flight deals and ancillary services such as travel insurance, meal packages, and hotel bookings as per their travel history, demographic profile and geo-IP addresses.

Additionally, the IIT Delhi team will work closely with IndiGo to develop disruptive management strategies to handle any sudden changes in flight and crew schedules.

“By integrating data from various modules—such as fleet recovery, crew recovery, and revenue estimation—the goal is to minimise the impact on passengers and crew while maximizing operational efficiency and revenue,” the IIT Delhi statement said.
