IIT Delhi to organise seminar on healthcare ecosystem for its upcoming Jhajjar campus
Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, has announced to set up two campuses in Jhajjar and Sonepat.

NEW Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology, (IIT) Delhi, will organise a seminar on ‘Medical technology and healthcare ecosystem’ on August 14. The event will be inaugurated by Niti Aayog member for health VK Paul and director general of National Centre for Good Governance V Srinivas.
Director general (life sciences) of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) Upendra Kumar Singh and AIIMS director M Srinivas will be guests of honour. The seminar is being held for deliberating to build up the medtech and healthcare ecosystem at the upcoming IIT Delhi campus in Jhajjar.

The director IIT Delhi, Rangan Banerjee, will sign an agreement with AIIMS during the event. Four panels will discuss various topics relevant to strengthen the medtech and healthcare ecosystem at IIT Delhi campus in Jhajjar.
The first panel, including SVS Deo, head of surgical oncology, AIIMS, Delhi; Sameer Bakhshi, head of medical oncology, AIIMS, Delhi; Sujata Mohanty, in-charge of stem cell facility, AIIMS, Delhi; and Prashant Kumar, CSO, Karkinos Healthcare will deliberate on the topic ‘Patient specific drug development for cancer treatment.
The second and third panel will discuss over the topics ‘Performance enhancement for paralympians and injury prevention’; and ‘Medical implants, diagnostics, devices design and development
MV Padma Srivastava, head of neurology Department, AIIMS, Delhi; Gaurav Agarwal, co-founder of Tata 1 Mg and Nitin Aggarwal, principal, ZS Associates will speak on ‘Digital healthcare, medical imaging and diagnosis.
Recently, IIT Delhi had announced to set up two extension campuses at Jhajjar and Sonepat. The Sonipat campus will be completed by November this year while it will take three years to complete the Jhajjar campus.
