IIT Delhi’s research park wins Facade Project of the Year Award 2021
IIT Delhi park will provide avenues for students and faculty to interact more closely with the industry.

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi’s Research and Innovation Park has been awarded the Facade Project of the Year Award 2021 by Construction Week India. The park has many facilities like utility services, restaurants, ATMs, convention centres and parking spaces.
The IIT Delhi park is spread over 3 lakh sq ft. It was designed by the architect, Kunal Bose and built by NBCC. The research park intends to better research translation and provide avenues for IIT Delhi students and faculty to interact more closely with industry and bring to market technological breakthroughs through incubation.

“The park will enable innovation and product development. It will facilitate interaction between researchers, corporates, government agencies and startups, and promote the creation of advanced technological solutions”, read the press release.
Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT), the interface body of IIT Delhi is inviting industry and startups to come on board for deeper engagement with the Institute. “The park is expected to strengthen the techno-entrepreneurship ecosystem and contribute to regional economic development” Anil Wali, managing director of FITT, IIT Delhi said.

“The research and innovation park is a physical assembly of spaces that has the capability to facilitate collaboration between the institute, industry and government.”, read the brief by V Ramgopal Rao, director of IIT Delhi .
The park is expected to encourage and popularise the technological and societal impact of the research and development at IIT Delhi and to support entrepreneurial aspirations.
