IIT Gandhinagar to host JEE Open House on October 23

IIT Gandhinagar will sponsor the tuition fee of students with 1000, or better rank in JEE Advanced for the entire duration of undergraduate course.

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar is going to host a live JEE Open House for aspiring BTech students on October 23 at 6 pm. The virtual interactive event aims to guide JEE (Advanced) qualified students and their parents about different engineering branches at IITs and various career opportunities. The event also aims to acquaint the aspirants with IIT system and its functioning.

“The IITGN JEE Open House event includes different sessions with the deans of academic and student affairs, student leadership, and alumni of the institute as well as a session by Sudhir K Jain, director, IIT Gandhinagar,” informed IIT Gandhinagar in a press statement. The open house will clear participants' queries and doubts related to undergraduate education at IITs.

The Institute said it will provide a scholarship equivalent to the tuition fees of the entire undergraduate programme at IIT Gandhinagar to the students who have attained a rank of 1000, or better in JEE Advanced.

Kabeer Jasuja, dean of academic affairs, IIT Gandhinagar, said, “like every year, IITGN has taken the initiative of organising JEE Open House to reach out to the IIT aspirants and their parents to provide them a deeper insight about various opportunities and possibilities available to them. The idea is to help the prospective students in making informed choices about institute and discipline. Considering the current situation, this online session will make it convenient for them to attend from anywhere in the world.”

The interested candidates along with their parents from across the world can attend the open house at iitgn.ac.in/openhouse on October 23.
