The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) result 2026 has been declared today, March 19, 2026. Applicants can check and download the GATE 2026 results from the official website of GATE at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates can log in by using the credentials: enrollment number and password.
GATE 2026 scorecard will be available for download on the website. GATE scorecard 2026 contains information like candidate’s name, date of birth, application number, marks obtained, and rank secured in the examination.
The GATE 2026 exam is conducted in CBT mode for a duration of 3 hours. The paper carries 100 marks with 65 questions, covering General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, and the core subject. The exam includes MCQs, MSQs, and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. Negative marking is applicable only for MCQs, while MSQ and NAT questions do not carry negative marking.

Visit the official website of GOAPS at goaps.iisc.ac.in, gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
Enter the GATE 2026 enrollment id or email id and password.
Click on the login button.
Now, click on the ‘View Result’ tab.
The GATE 2026 result PDF will appear on the screen.
Download the GATE result 2026 and take a print out.

The GATE 2026 exam conducted on February 7 was described as moderate to difficult by students and experts, while the General Aptitude section was comparatively easy in both shifts. The forenoon session papers were mostly moderate, though some questions were considered tricky. In the afternoon session, Engineering Mathematics appeared slightly tougher, and the core subject sections ranged from moderate to difficult. Experts also noted that a few questions followed new patterns or concepts, which made certain parts of the exam more challenging for candidates.
GATE 2026 answer key was released on February 22, 2026. Applicants were allowed to raise objections against the GATE answer key from February 25, 2026 to February 28, 2026. IIT Roorkee conducted GATE 2026 on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. The exam was held in two sessions each day - forenoon session from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
