IIT Dhanbad Admission 2026: MTech application form open; apply by April 19

Indian Institute of Technology, Indian School of Mines (IIT-ISM) Dhanbad has started applications for its Master of Technology (MTech) programmes for the 2026–27 academic session. Eligible candidates can apply for IIT Dhanbad MTech admission 2026 online through the official portal, admissions.iitism.ac.in.

The IIT Dhanbad MTech application form 2026 is available only online. As per the admission schedule, the last date to submit the IIT Dhanbad MTech admission form 2026 is April 19.

To complete the IIT ISM Dhanbad MTech registration, candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories will have to pay Rs. 600, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates are required to pay Rs. 300. For sponsored candidates, the application fee is Rs 2000.

IIT Dhanbad MTech Admission 2026: Eligibility

Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology, or a master’s degree in science, with at least 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA (55% or 5.5 CGPA for SC, ST, PwD) can apply for IIT Dhanbad MTech admission 2026.

IIT Dhanbad MTech admission will be done through online counselling via COAP, based on GATE score, CGPA, and departmental review. Candidates with a valid GATE score must register on the COAP 2026 portal, as seat allotment will be done through COAP.

Candidates who get a seat in the IIT ISM Dhanbad MTech course must report to the college on July 21. The MTech programme will start on July 27.
