NEW DELHI : The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has extended the last date to register for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can fill the IIT JAM 2024 application form through the official website, jam.iitm.ac.in.
According to the eligibility criteria, students who have completed an undergraduate degree or are currently studying in the final year of undergraduate programmes can apply for the JAM 2024 exam. Candidates of any age can apply and foreign nationals having Indian degrees can also apply.
For a single test paper, female applicants and those belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST,) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories will have to pay Rs 900 as the application fee. All other applicants will be required to make payment of Rs 1,800.
Students will require the following details for registration:
- Personal information (name, email id, date of birth, mobile number, parent’s or guardian’s name, parent’s or guardian’s mobile number, etc.)
- Address for communication including PIN code
- Details of eligibility degree
- Name and address with PIN code of the college or institute or university
- Choice of JAM papers
- Choice of JAM examination cities
- Scanned copy of 10th standard (SSC) marksheet
- High-quality image of the candidate’s photograph and signature conforming to the specifications
- Scanned copy of the category certificate (if applicable)
- Scanned copy of physical disability certificate (if applicable) or Unique Disability Identification (UDID) certificate.
- Any one of the following Photo ID: Aadhaar ID, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, or Voter ID
The entrance exam will be conducted for admission to around 3,000 seats in IITs, 2,000 seats in Indian Institute of Science (IISc), and counselling through CCMN for the academic year 2024-25. JAM scores will be used for admission to programmes such as MSc, MSc (Tech), MS Research, MSc-MTech, dual degree, joint MSc-PhD, MSc-PhD dual degree.
