NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) has begun applications for Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM) 2023 admissions. Candidates that successfully qualified the IIT JAM 2023 exam held on February 12, 2023 can apply for JAM 2023 admissions 2023 at IIT JAM official website- jam.iitg.ac.in till April 25, 2023. .

Qualifying the IIT JAM 2023 exam will allow students to apply for admissions in 2,800 seats across 90 post graduate programmes at 21 IITs. Candidates that are seeking admissions must pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs 750 as the IIT JAM admission fee. IIT Guwahati will allow modification in application forms that have been already submitted by students till the IIT JAM admission last date.

"The Applicants who were offered a seat can CANCEL the offer by logging into Candidate Portal and choosing "Withdraw". This option would be available from June 15 to July 2, 2023. The Seat Booking Fee (if paid by them) would be refunded after deducting a Processing Fee of ₹1,000/- by August 15, 2023," read the IIT JAM information brochure.

Each programme has its own set of minimum educational qualifications (MEQs), which specify the mandatory subjects to be studied at 10+2 level or during bachelor’s degree. The MEQs for different programmes are listed in the IIT JAM admission 2023 information brochure on the official website.
JAM All India Rank (AIR) will be used to give admission to the candidates without an additional interview or written test. However, at the time of admission, all admitted candidates may have to submit a physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner in the prescribed form to the admitting institute. In case candidates are not found physically fit to pursue their chosen programme of study, their admission is liable to be cancelled.
