NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Joint Engineering Entrance (JEE) 2022 exam as the first step to get admission into IITs. IIT JEE 2022 will be further divided into JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Candidates who will qualify JEE Advanced 2022 will get a seat in the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).

IITs are the top engineering institutes in India and every student aspires to take admission in it in order to pursue a Bachelors of Technology or Bachelors in Science in any of the streams such as Computer Science, Civil, Mechanical etc. There are a total of 23 IITs in India. However, to take admission into the IITs, aspirants will have to undergo various stages, here aspirants can check the step-by-step process to take admission into the prestigious IITs.
Step 1 - Qualify in the JEE Main 2022 exam - First, candidates will have to apply for JEE Main 2022 and qualify it. Top 2,50,000 candidates will be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2022. Apart from qualifying the JEE Main and Advanced, aspirants must have also scored at least 75% marks in Class 12 for BTech admission at IIT.
Step 2 - Appearance in JEE Advanced - Post qualifying in the Mains, top 2,50,000 JEE Main rank holders will be eligible to appear in the JEE Advanced 2022 which is one step ahead of JEE Main. The difficulty level of the JEE Advance is more than that of the JEE Main.
Step 3 -JoSAA counselling - After the JEE Advanced, the Joint Seat Allotment Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the JoSAA counselling for JEE Main and JEE Advanced qualified candidates. It will conduct the JEE Main counselling in six rounds.
Step 4 - Seat allotment - Once the counselling is done, the shortlisted aspirants will be alloted the seats on the basis of merit. After the seat allotment results are declared, aspirants will have to contact the allotted IIT institute and complete their admission process by paying the fees and verifying all their documents.
