IIT-J: The programme will focus on career assessment, exploring career opportunities, building career competencies, and fostering entrepreneurial aptitude.

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur has signed an agreement with the KRI Trust to launch a "Career Guidance and Career Assessment programme" for all students including those pursuing BTech. The programme was inaugurated on June 29, 2023, at the IIT Jodhpur campus.
The initiative aims to provide career guidance and assessment modules to all students as part of the curriculum. The 2023 batch will be the first beneficiaries of this programme.

The agreement was signed between the IIT Jodhpur director Santanu Chaudhury and Pradeep Prasad, Trustee of KRI Trust in the presence of Surajit Ghosh, dean (IR, AR, CR); Gaurav Bhatnagar, associate dean (IRO), and Anuj Pal Kapoor, chairman of the Career Development Cell.
The career guidance programme will be focussing on career assessment, helping students explore career opportunities, building career competencies, and also to foster entrepreneurial aptitude as a part of the curriculum.
This collaboration between IIT Jodhpur and KRI Trust aims to reduce the student drop-out rates. The Career Development Center at IIT Jodhpur will be responsible for the implementation of career guidance sessions based on the areas of their interest. The initiative aims to create a safe and conducive atmosphere for the holistic growth of students, the institute said.

Santanu Chaudhury said, “Learning is not attained by chance but it must be sought with passion and diligence. We at IIT Jodhpur believe that a student must be empowered to identify his/her strengths, follow his or her own aspirations, to be distinguished and capable of handling disruptive changes in the profession.”
“This programme in collaboration with KRI, an initiative of IIT alumni, will enhance the innate abilities of students to follow their dreams thereby motivating them to excel in their career beyond the confines of IIT '' the IIT Jodhpur director added.
