IIT Kanpur hosts 30th edition of Techkriti 2024; ends on March 17

The IIT Kanpur’s 30th edition of Techkriti is hosting panel discussion, musical nights, hip-hop and other cultural events.
NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kanpur) Techkriti 2024 started with the 30th edition on March 14. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of IIT Kanpur director S Ganesh, IIT Kanpur CSE department Manindra Agrawal, IIT Kanpur BSBE department Amitabha Bandyopadhyay and air chief marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria (Rtd).
IIT Kanpur Techkriti 2024 is Asia's one of the largest annual technical and entrepreneurial festivals. On the first day of Techkriti 2024, themed 'The Cosmic Nexus', marked the pearl anniversary celebration and it started with a Raga event. Following this, a comedy night featuring Samay Raina was organised. It was followed by a LED show.
The day ended with a hip-hop house party, featuring energetic music and lively dance performances. The talented artists Yungsta, Ab 17 and YKSDOG, who delivered electrifying performances that had the crowd pumped up and dancing. On the second day of the fest, a panel discussion was organised on the topic of ‘Renewable energy and forest conservation for a green economy’.
The day's events also included an interactive session with YouTuber Gaurav Thakur, which served as a delightful conclusion to the day's talks. The exhibitions at Tech Planet showcased the latest technological advancements. The Megaworld hosted activities such as Laser Tag with Gel Blaster, PS5 Car Consoles, VR Gaming, Target Shooting, Body Zorbing, and a fascinating Boiler Room exhibit.

A concert was held by Singer Ankit Tiwar, where he performed songs ‘Teri Galiyan’ and ‘Sunn Raha Hai’. Ankit Tiwari's performance created an electrifying atmosphere, leaving a lasting impact on everyone present.

To conclude the day's activities, Befikra Tejas took the stage and held everyone captive with his mesmerising musical performance. His talent and stage presence were evident as he delivered a captivating show, further enhancing the overall experience of the event.
Befikra Tejas's performance added a perfect ending to the day, leaving the attendees with unforgettable memories of a day filled with soulful music and captivating performances. The four-day fiesta will continue till March 17.
