IIT Kanpur invites applications for three-day workshop 'School on Magnetism and Spintronics 2024'

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK), department of physics, in association with the Magnetic Society of India (MSI), is set to host a three-day international workshop titled 'School on Magnetism and Spintronics 2024' from December 2 to 4, 2024. The event will bring together global experts to deliver lectures and tutorials on research and advancements in the fields of magnetism and spintronics, the IITK official statement said.

The workshop will benefit early-career researchers. It features a variety of interactive sessions, discussions, and hands-on activities. The aim is to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of both foundational concepts and the latest developments in the rapidly evolving field of spintronics and magnetism, the IIT statement added.

Participants will also have the opportunity to tour and explore IIT Kanpur’s state-of-the-art research facilities, gaining valuable insights into ongoing research in these domains.

The applications for participation are currently ongoing and can be submitted through the event’s official website. Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their applications promptly to secure their spot. The last date to apply is October 20, 2024. The registration fee includes accommodation for students and research scholars.
