IIT Kanpur launches scholarship for 10 students within JEE Advanced top 100 rank holders

NEW DELHI: IIT Kanpur will provide scholarships for 10 students within the top 100 JEE Advanced 2021 rank holders. The scholarships will be awarded under the Bright Minds Scholarships programme from this academic year.

“IIT Kanpur is delighted to announce the Bright Minds Scholarships programme. These are 10 prestigious and highly sought-after academic scholarships for students within the top 100 AIR in #JeeAdvanced2021,” IIT Kanpur’s Director Abhay Karandikar.

Abhay Karandikar said that this is a first of its kind initiative towards encouraging and rewarding academic excellence.

“The scholarships are being established with support from our alumnus Mr Lokvir Kapoor. These are aimed at encouraging and rewarding meritorious students,” he said in a tweet.

The scholarships for the 10 students who will be selected within the JEE Advanced top 100 rankers will take care of all the expenses, including tuition and living, during their stay on the campus.

In August, IIT Kharagpur had instituted the country's first of its kind full-ride scholarship to support students who secure a rank in the top 100 of all India rankings of JEE Advanced 2021.
