IIT Kanpur partners with Gliders India to boost innovation in healthcare sector
IIT-K: Gliders India Limited will support MedTech and Healthcare startups at SIIC with financial and strategic aid.

NEW DELHI: The Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC), at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, signed a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agreement with Gliders India Limited, to boost innovation in the healthcare sector.
Under this collaboration, Gliders India Limited will provide financial assistance and mentorship to startups incubated at SIIC working on advanced medical technologies, digital health solutions, telemedicine applications, and healthcare infrastructure innovations, the institute said in a statement.
It further said that the partnership aims to leverage IIT Kanpur's technological expertise and Gliders India Limited's industry knowledge to develop solutions for critical healthcare challenges in Indi.
According to the press release, Gliders India Limited will connect startups with domain experts, industry resources, and market networks to accelerate their growth and commercialisation. Their strategic support will enable these startups to navigate the complexities of the healthcare landscape.
Key representatives from both organizations participated in the agreement exchange ceremony held at Gliders India Limited headquarters, the press release read.

Speaking about the collaboration, the professor-in-charge of SIIC, IIT Kanpur, Ankush Sharma, said: “We are thrilled to join forces with Gliders India Limited. This collaboration creates a powerful ecosystem where our incubated startups can tap into Gliders India Limited's vast industry experience to translate their innovations into real-world impact”
During the agreement signing ceremony, the managing director of Gliders India Limited, V K Tiwari, said: “As a responsible corporate citizen, Gliders India Limited is committed to positive societal change. Partnering with SIIC allows us to harness innovation's potential and contribute to national well-being by addressing pressing healthcare challenges.”
