IIT Kanpur Placements 2025-26: Pre-placement offers (PPOs) increase 27% with 253 offers. Nine students secured international offers on the first day of placements.
The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur began its 2025-26 placement season with a record-breaking performance, receiving a highest of 672 job offers on day 1. The number of job offers secured is 16% higher than last year’s day-1 placements, indicating growing industry appeal and strong demand for graduates, the official statement said.
The overall recruitment offers are expected to rise further, IIT-K said. By the end of day 1, a total of 627 students secured job offers, including pre-placement offers (PPOs). This represents a significant 20% rise in placements compared to the previous placement season.
PPOs also contributed to the improvement in placements with 253 offers, which is a 27% increase compared to previous year.
Moreover, nine students secured international offers on the first day of placements.
Over 250 recruiters have shown interest in hiring IITK students this year. The top recruiters include Accenture, BlackRock, HSBC, SAP, Airbus, PwC, Navi, Qualcomm, Deutsche Bank, among others.
The Students’ Placement Office said the record Day-1 performance reflects the dedication of IIT Kanpur students. The university also acknowledged faculty mentorship and industry partnership for the offers.
“With several more companies scheduled to visit and many students yet to be placed, the 2025–26 placement season promises even more exciting career opportunities in the weeks ahead,” the institute said.
