IIT Kanpur Placements 2024: Surge in job offers on day 1 this year; 523 students hired
IIT Kanpur placements 2024-25: 13 students land international jobs. Microsoft, Google, American Express among top recruiters.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur saw 579 offers on the first day of placements for the academic session 2024-2025. A total of 13 students landed international jobs while a total of 523 students have been offered positions through campus placements and Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs).
Among the IITK students who have been placed, 199 accepted PPOs from top national and international firms.
IIT Kanpur placements 2024 saw Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Databricks, Google, American Express, SLB, and Deutsche Bank as the top recruiters. The institute witnessed a surge in on-campus recruitment on the very first day in comparison to last year which saw 485 offers and 428 students placed.

Talking about the hiring, Manindra Agrawal, director of IIT Kanpur, said, “The large number of offers from leading companies on Day 1, including a significant number of international placements, highlights the global recognition of IIT Kanpur's academic excellence and the calibre of our students. I would like to commend the efforts of the placement team for their dedication and meticulous planning.
