IIT Madras Placements 2021: Offers increase by 43%, highest ever

IIT Madras students also received 231 pre-placement offers, making the total job offers 407 so far.
NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology Madras campus placements for the academic year 2021-22, which began today on December 1, witnessed a 43% increase in placements. This is the highest ever recorded increase with a total of 176 offers from 34 Companies during day one’s first session . Phase 1 of the IIT placement is expected to continue till December 10.
Among the offers made, 11 were international, from four companies. In addition, 231 pre-placement offers were also received by IIT Madras students, taking the total number of job offers in the first session to 407. The placement drive is being conducted virtually. About 382 companies have registered for phase I placements of IIT Madras. These companies are recruiting for 738 profiles.

IIT Madras recruitment has witnessed offers from high-profile companies like Microsoft and Texas Instruments.

In the second session that is being held between 4 pm to midnight today (December 1, 2021), 32 companies are recruiting for 68 profiles. Amazon, Groww, Flipkart, Intel, Samsung and Twitter are among them.
“The placement drive, is being conducted virtually for the second time this year,” said S Sidhartha Narayan, academic affairs secretary and student at IIT Madras.
