IIT Mandi opens applications for IMBA; admissions on JEE Main scores, 20% seats reserved for women

IIT Mandi’s five year Integrated MBA programme combines BBA Analytics with MBA in Data Science and AI; admissions based on JEE Main 2026 scores and personal interview
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi has invited applications for the third batch of its five year Integrated MBA (IMBA) course for the academic session 2026–27. The programme combines a BBA in analytics (Honours) with an MBA in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence(AI).
Candidates can apply for the course at IIT Mandi’s official website, iitmandi.ac.in. The selection for the course is based on JEE Mains scores followed by an interview.
As per the IIT Mandi press note, this year the institute has increased the intake capacity to 80 seats. Out of the total intake, 20% seats have been reserved as female only supernumerary seats.
The institute said the programme has been designed to prepare students for leadership roles in a technology driven business environment by integrating management education with artificial intelligence and analytics based learning. Students will also receive exposure to industrial internships, entrepreneurship opportunities and AI driven business applications during the course.
As per the official press release, a key feature of the programme is its flexible academic structure with multiple exit options. Students completing three years will be awarded a BBA in Analytics degree, while those exiting after four years will receive BBA Analytics (Honours). Students completing the full duration will graduate with an Integrated MBA in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
IIT Mandi IMBA: Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for IMBA course at IIT Mandi need to keep the below eligibility criteria in mind;
- Candidates must secure the minimum NTA score in JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 required for eligibility to appear in JEE Advanced 2026
- Applicants should have studied Mathematics and English in Class 12 or equivalent examination
- General category students must secure at least 75% marks in Class 12
- SC, ST and PwD candidates need a minimum of 65% marks in Class 12
- Final admissions will be based on JEE Main scores and personal interview performance
The final selection process will carry 70% weightage for JEE Main 2026 scores and 30% weightage for personal interview performance, according to the institute.
