IIT Patna will award degrees to 713 students at 11th convocation
A total of 384 BTech, 81 MSc, 171 MTech, and 77 PhD degrees will be awarded during IIT Patna's convocation on February 15.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna has announced that it will organise the 11th annual convocation on February 15, where a total of 713 students, including 384 BTech, 81 MSc of 2020 batch, 171 MTech of 2022 class, and 77 PhD holders will be conferred degrees.
The IIT Patna , at its 11th convocation ceremony will grant degrees to 415 students in person and the rest will be in "absentia", as per the official statement by the institute. Students with exceptional performance will also be honoured with medals and awards, it added.
Jayant Chaudhary, minister of state (independent charge), ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship, and ministry of education, Government of India, will be the chief guest at the event. Sunil Kumar, minister of education, Government of Bihar, will be the guest of honour at the convocation ceremony, the institute said.
Giving details of the upcoming convocation, T N Singh, director at IIT Patna said: "We are leaving no stone unturned in making this convocation a grand success. From the smallest details to the larger arrangements, every effort is being made to ensure a smooth and memorable occasion for our graduating batch and esteemed guests.”
IIT Patna 11th annual convocation: Dress code for students
The male students are advised to wear a “knee-length, full-sleeve, white, off-white cotton kurta with white pyjamas,” the institute said. There are two options for female students regarding the dress code which includes “a white, off-white cotton saree with a simple golden border and white, off-white blouse or a knee-length, white, off-white cotton straight kurti with white churidar, without any colored prints, borders, or embroidery.”
Different colors have been planned to distinguish the degree recipients. For instance, green for the BTech graduates, blue for the MTech and the MSc graduates, orange for the PhD recipients, and golden yellow for the dignitaries.
